Who are we?

ShowMeTheGolf's creator is Tim Southwell.

Previously Tim was co-founder of loaded magazine and more recently, founder of Golf Punk magazine.

Tim's stock in trade is to make unreasonable demands on a daily basis and hope that everything will be all right in the end.

Contact Tim at tim@mindhowyougomedia.com.

Tim's fellow contributors include Sam Torrance and Jay Townsend. You know all about them, they're the professional broadcasting blokes that make everything the rest of us do look a bit ropey by comparison. You can contact them by leaving messages on their member page.

It's a good job Sophie Horn showed up unannounced one day demanding to be part of the caper. Otherwise we'd have an average age of 212. Sophie is one of those rare things in life - a good looking, smart, funny low handicap golfer with a smile on her face and a twinkle on her eye. Sophie's job is to be SMGTV co-host and intrepid reporter. Marvelous.

John Dean was co-founder of Golf Punk magazine - he does the sensible stuff like talking to posh advertising types.

Michael Oxley is the technical bloke so if anything doesn't work blame him. As a techie he has a face for radio so excuse the lack of headshot. His past experience is in search engine optimization and search engine marketing.

Sophie Powell is our lovely PR and Media Manager.

Queenie Gilbert is a Pug dog (that's her with Sophie). Queenie likes chasing golf balls into bushes and arguing with cats.

About ShowMeTheGolf.tv

ShowMeTheGolf.TV is a new golf TV channel and social networking arrangement - think Soccer AM for Golf meets Facebook for golf. It features videos, interviews, silly stuff and social networking.

We're building this unit from the bottom up and we'll be adding new stuff as we go along. Feel free to email us with suggestions you'd like to see on any part of the channel, whether it's social networking stuff or ideas for new video features, whatever. Frankly we've already run out of ideas so for the love of Nicklaus help us out.

From January 2009 we will transmit a weekly half hour show. This will be studio-based and feature interviews with players, comment and opinion, celebrity golfers, Hell Holes, golf adventures, golf cartoons and your video clips and photos etc. We're currently looking for a studio to film it in. The local pub looks favourite.

The social networking side of the channel allows you to communicate with other showmethegolf.tv members all around the world, organise games of golf, create a golf society, track your handicap, upload your videos and photographs etc. It's brilliant!

We're trying to create something entertaining, informative and useful. It's not specifically targeted at any demographic, as we don't particularly believe in all that nonsense. Everyone's welcome in this clubhouse. We love golf and all who sail in her majestic errm, ...vessel.

Anyway, like I say, we love golf. We love remembering that first great shot you ever hit. You know, the one that got you hooked; We love having a pint in the clubhouse after a terrible round and drawing everyone's attention to that one good shot you made, the one that made you briefly convinced that you could turn pro; Talking of the pros, we love watching them do stuff we can only dream about. We love golf courses, golf gear, golf club manufacturers, golf clubhouses, golf gloves, golf dogs, golf cats, golf rodents, golf cocktails, golf bloody everything.

So, as Liam Gallagher rightly once said, get your golf shoes on skinny, and let's roll...

- Tim
